TRAVEL AND HEALTH INSURANCE
The chairmen and organizers strongly advise participants to take out insurance to cover cancellation (registration fees, travel, accommodation and other costs), medical costs and damage to or loss of personal belongings.
VISA REGULATIONS
Austria is part of the Schengen area. Citizens of EU member states, the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland do not require a visa to enter the Republic of Austria. Citizens of other countries may require a visa to enter the Schengen area or Austrian territory. All important information and forms for applying for a visa can be found on the relevant website of the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs.
LANGUAGE
The language spoken in Austria is German, but most people also speak at least one other language (English, Italian, French, etc.). The INAC Conference 2025 will be held in German and English. However, simultaneous translation will be provided during the conference.

WEATHER
May is a rather tricky month when it comes to the weather. It can be very warm and sunny, but it can also be cool and rainy. The average daytime temperatures range between 13 °C and 24 °C. Be sure to bring a warm jacket, as it can cool down considerably at night.
ELECTRICITY
The Austrian electricity grid is single-phase 230 volts at 50 Hertz. In Austria, plug and socket type F is used.
MONEY and CURRENCY
The currency unit in Austria is the EURO. You can pay by credit card almost everywhere. Visa and MasterCard are the most commonly accepted credit cards, American Express or Diners are much less accepted. If in doubt, you should ask before making a purchase.

EMERGENCY CALLS
The emergency numbers can be called free of charge from any telephone in Austria. In the event of traffic accidents, fires or other situations, the emergency services should be contacted immediately via the European emergency number 112. The police can be reached on 133 and the fire department on 122. For an ambulance, please call 144.
